Recipe
1/4 cup chili powder
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1/2 teaspoon cayenne (red pepper)
1 teaspoon oregano
2 teaspoon paprika
2 Tablespoon cumin
2 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon black pepper
Use 3 Tablespoons of the above for every pound of ground beef.
Put the ground beef in a pan, add 3/4 cup or so of water. Brown the ground beef, drain. Add 3 Tablespoons of the taco seasoning, and 1 Tablespoon of flour if needed.
Serve with tortillas and taco fixings.
My Notes
This isn't particularly spicy taco seasoning, and nowadays I'd probably use some actual garlic cloves in the meat-cooking process, but it makes decent enough taco meat :)
I'm sure it would also go well with other non-beef taco filling options, too.
